The guys of BTS are making history once again! Their newly released single "Life Goes On" off of their album "BE" has topped the Billboard Hot 100 at #1. It's notable that this is an important achievement as "Life Goes On" has become the first track to hit #1 as a song that is predominantly sung in Korean. BTS is also the fastest artist to achieve three #1 hits within the past three months with "Dynamite", "Savage Love (Laxed - Siren Beat)" and now "Life Goes On". They are also still reeling from the news of their Grammy nomination as they are a nominee for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. BTS has also made an appearance on ABC's "The Disney Holiday Singalong" this evening with a performance of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". Congratulations on all of the exciting news, BTS! EXO and SUPER M member, Kai, has officially made his solo debut with a mini album titled "KAI" and has also dropped the music video for the title track "Mmmh". Complete with icy and futuristic visuals and of course tantalizing dance moves, "Mmmh" is an R&B pop track with lyrics to portray the attraction one feels to someone one has met for the first time. Kai graced his fans with a live broadcast ahead of the release of the album and ended up shedding tears from the overwhelming amount of love he's received so far. Congratulations, Kai!
The ladies of TWICE have officially made their highly anticipated debut on a U.S. late night show! Jihyo, Nayeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Chaeyoung, Dahyun and Tzuyu (sans Jeongyeon who is currently on a medical break) graced The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and performed their hit song "I Can't Stop Me". In brown, black and white ensembles, TWICE brought their best dance moves and top notch vocals. Sibling group JAGMAC shared the music video for their new single - "Motivation". It's an upbeat, fiery track and the vibe is definitely shown in the music video! Dividing each sibling into their own day jobs, the video follows them waiting tables, mowing lawns, fixing cars, walking dogs and being a lifeguard all while staying focused on their dreams and fulfilling it by putting on a successful live performance in front of a crowd. Singer/Song-writer NIKI will be holding a virtual concert experience for her fans based on her newest album - Moonchild. According to a press release, the show will be divided into 3 parts: crescent, half-moon and full moon - all inspired by lunar phases. It will also feature a talk show portion as well as intimate musical sessions and surprises for fans. Depending on where you're located, you can stream Moonchild Experience on Kaskus TV at 10 PM (October 9, New York Time) or 9 AM (October 10, Jakarta Time.)
As October honors Filipino-American History month, "Yellow Rose" hits theaters nationwide tomorrow, October 9th. Starring Broadway talent, Eva Noblezada, "Yellow Rose" follows the story of a 17 year old undocumented Filipina living in a small Texas town with her mother. Rose dreams of being a big star pursuing country music, that is until her world is turned upside down when her mother is taken away by ICE. She embarks on a journey of self-discovery and learns to live a new life in Austin, Texas. Written and Directed by Diane Paragas, this film also stars Dale Watson, Princess Punzalan and Ms. Lea Salonga. MONSTA X has announced an exciting comeback taking place on November 2, 2020. The group shared that their 3rd full-length album will be titled "Fatal Love". Known as the Avengers of KPOP, boy group SuperM is celebrating their 1 year anniversary! Taemin, Baekhyun, Kai, Taeyon, Ten, Mark and Lucas were trending on social media as their fans celebrated the guys with the hashtag #1stYearWithSuperM. As their debut, they released their hit song "Jopping" along with their self-titled mini album.
